Practicing and empowering both women and men alike, Dr. Ghislaine Kouamou, founder and director of Medela Pharmacy, has served the greater Houston area for nearly 20 years. An honor graduate from Saarland University in Germany, Dr. Kouamou is a registered pharmacist in the States of Texas and New-Mexico. She is devoting her full-time practice to community health and wellness. With her thorough experience in retail and compounding pharmacy practice, Dr. Kouamou believes in the strong connection between the science of conventional treatment and the art of individualized medication therapy. Dr. Kouamou is dedicated to empowering her patients to live up to their fullest potential. While providing Bellaire and the greater Houston area with both traditional and personalized pharmaceutical care, Medela Pharmacy also serves as the foundation for education, community health and wellbeing.

As an advocate for wellness and a dedicated member of many charitable organizations, Dr. Kouamou is a strong supporter of her community. She makes it a top priority to continuously give back, reaching out tho help educate about health options. Dr. Kouamou believes in a strong balance in life and enjoys her many roles as a pharmacist , a woman’s advocate, an entrepreneur, a wife, and a mother of three beautiful children.

In her private time, Dr. Kouamou enjoys devouring a good book, running, traveling and quality time with her lovely children and supportive husband.
